The vision of Rancho Lemuria
Lemuria was founded in 2007 with the purchase of a ranch hacienda located in a small town named Cajones outside Guanajuato city. The vision actually began many years before then….
A place where people will come, gather, live and learn together to live a new kind of life. A life of harmony, joy and balance. To that end, we have been working non-stop to create the foundation from which this wonderful vision can come to light.
Right now we have the facilities for seminars and workshops, beautifully renovated overnight accommodations for facilitators, small groups or b&b stays, an incredibly restored dining hall and special dinner settings for events or just a romantic evening. It is the perfect place in more ways than you know.
The ranch sits on the brim of the Sombrero Mountain and above one of the largest reservoirs in the state, named La Presa Purisima, “Water of the Pure”. On the top of Sombrero there are ten thousand year old temple ruins with petroglyphs. The presa covers ancient pueblos and is rich with history. There is a special kind of energy here, one that brings with it magical happenings.
When the vision of the ranch is complete it will nurture a residential sustainable community that is both unique in design concept and standard of living. The community of 9 homes is in process right now. And, of course the existing Hacienda facility for workshops, seminars, dinner theater events, and visitor stays.
